What is monogram?
A monogram, also known as a wenzel, is a motif formed by overlapping or combining two or more letters or graphemes to form one symbol. Monograms are commonly created by combining an individual's or a company's initials and are used as recognizable symbols or logos.
A monogram is typically composed of the following letters: First Name Initial, Last Name Initial, Middle Name or Maiden Name Initial. The larger Middle Initial is the Last Name Initial. For instance, if your name was Kelsie Elizabeth Vogds, your monogram would be KVE.
A personal monogram serves a practical purpose: it allows the owner to be identified. And, perhaps more importantly, a monogram serves a decorative function: it allows the owner to convey information about her or his personal style.
