Elastin-like polypeptide matrices for enhancing adeno-associated virus-mediated gene delivery to human neural stem cells

Respuesta :

According to the study it is developed that an elastin-like polypeptide mediated adeno- associated virus delivery system for transducing fibroblasts and human neural stem cells.

Adeno-associated virus have significant promise as therapeutic vectors because their safety and use in gene targeting in stem cell research. Elastin-like polypeptide has been recently employed as biologically inspired smart bio-material that exhibits an inverse temperature phase transition.

The cellular transactional enhancement in stem cells, as well as the feasibility of elastin-like polypeptide for utilization in 3D scaffolds, will contribute to the advancement of gene therapy for stem cells research and tissue regeneration. Elastin-like polypeptide mediated adeno-associated virus delivery significantly to enhance delivery efficiency in fibroblasts and hNSCs, have great potential for neurodegenerative disorder treatments.
