To persuade people to change, you have to appeal to their emotions and their logic because when you trying to convince someone to change you have to know their potential for changing himself.

If you want to change the nature of the person you have to understand his point of view,  problems, what he is trying to explain. These are some factors which are important to change the person properly.

You have to motivate them and increase their confidence and utilisation of their skills and guide them properly that what is right for him and what is wrong.
