Respuesta :

The aldehyde, ketones and alcohols in terms of structure , physical properties and chemical properties are differ in colour, nature of bond, nature of state, boiling point.

Structure

In aldehyde the carbonyl group is bounded to at least one hydrogen atom   (-CHO)

In ketone the carbonyl group is bonded to two carbon atom ( -CO-)

In alcohols are organic molecule assembled from carbon , oxygen and hydrogen atoms ( - OH)

Physical properties

  • Alcohols, aldehyde and ketone are colourless
  • Alcohols are sweet smell except glycerol
  • Aldehyde have unpleasant smell.
  • Ketones have pleasant odour
  • The boiling point of alcohols, aldehyde and ketone are high
  • The nature of state of alcohols, aldehyde and ketone are liquid

Chemical properties
