What is social?
Humans are social organisms, and they all exist in dependent ecosystems. If they are aware of it or not, or whether the trade is voluntary or not, this interaction is seen as social. The phrase "socialism," which was first used in France and the Uk in the 1830s, was closely connected with the so-called social question. Early socialists essentially argued that in order to address the social issues, injustices, and grievances, politics and social change were needed because the rise of competitive market systems did not grant all citizens "liberty, equality, and fraternity" (a topic on which Jean-Jacques Rousseau discourses at length in his classic work The Social Contract).
The rise of industrial capitalism fostered the formation of the modern idea of socialism. The term "socialism" now refers to a certain viewpoint and comprehension socialists had on the growth of physical, economic forces and social factors that influence human behavior.
It stated specifically the viewpoint that human behavior is largely impacted by a person's immediate social environment, that modes of societal structure are not supernatural or metaphysical constructs but rather products of the social system and social environment, which are themself components of the level of technology/mode of production (the material world), and that, as a result, are constantly changing.
