Step 1: Simplify both sides of the equation.
-2/3x + 8/3 = -4
Step 2: Subtract 8/3 from both sides.
-2/3x+ 8/3 - 8/3 = -4-83
-2/3x = -20/3
Step 3: Multiply both sides by 3/(-2).
3/-2 x -2/3x = 3/-2 x -20/3
X = 10
All in all, x = 10
