The Everglade is a region in the United State with a wide, unique range of climate and characteristic interdependent ecosystems such as grass swamps, estuarine mangrove forest, tropical hardwood stands, pine rockland among others.

The various biomes of the world has been categorized into 5 major classes. Under these classes, sub-biomes can be found. The major biomes are;
