The Bantu people have their initial homeland in the eastern part of Western Africa. Because of the growing population and need for more food, the Bantu started to migrate. The migration was directed towards places that had fertile soil and rich grazing grounds.
Because of that, the Bantu migration was going in southern and eastern direction, pretty much were the savannas are located. The savannas were providing the right conditions for the Bantu people, having fertile soil for agriculture, vast grasslands rich in nutrition for the livestock, and also lot of animals for hunting if needed.
Nowadays, the Bantu are the most widespread group of people in Africa.
