Question: when the first clock was made, how did people know what time it was?

Now that's an interesting question!!! Just guessed maybe? Made up a number somehow, perhaps.

The used the sun as a means to tell time. One form of an early "clock" was a simple stick that stood straight and the time was based of the shadow. That's all I know. Hope that helps!
