it helps us to know our body changes
Sex Education? Well it's an essential of life. It's how we live right? We have to know the consequences of our actions. Learning about STD and AIDS, for example, is also a good thing to know. Imagine catching them and then not knowing you had them? Or whatever.
I wasn't taught this, because I was pulled out of Sex Ed every time. And when I did attend, I rarely listened due to the many names I had to learn. Yeah, guess what I got for my test? FAIL!!! Lol
I learned most of the Pregnancy stuff from my best friend, who happens to be the daughter of a mid-wife. But other than that, I'm not too sure. I do know the basics like, for instance, the do's and don'ts and blah blah blah.

But all in all it is essential to learn about it. Maybe in you High School Yeah. I honestly don't agree with the "loss of innocence" at a young age...
But yeah it's also handy for reproduction...

Sorry that I'm all over the place. I am quite tired. But regardless, there should be some key points from that pile.

I hope you followed through. Cheers
