An adaptation is a feature that helps an animals or species to survive and continue with reproduction. This could be through physical changes to the animals body or behavioral changes.
A species that adapts will be more likely to survive. As the environment changes, animals that cannot adapt die out, and only the adapted ones survive to produce offspring.
