Following are the three major changes resulted from reconstruction:
The first major change was the establishment of a freedmen's bureau. The release, education, and Labor arrangements for the former slaves as well as white immigrants was under the supervision of this bureau. They have established nearly 4000 African American schools.
The introduction of the sharecropping system was the second significant change. This helped in improving the working conditions for black people. For the farmers to be able to grow crops, the landowners must supply food and other necessities.
The 15th amendment was the third major change. This was significant since states were prohibited from denying votes based on a person's skin color or prior slave status.
