What is slavery?

This is the term that is used to refer to the system of using slaves to work back in the day in Europe and in the Americas. The slaves were owned as the properties of the white man and they has to carry out all of the biddings of the black man. He was required to provide all of the man power that the whites needed for labor.

This was perpetual at the time because it was the means through which they grew their economy. The white man had farm plantations that they needed the blacks to work on for the sake of money.

Some of factors that allowed this to continue into the 19th centuries were the laws that protected the white man's ability to use slaves. There were codes such as the black codes and what was seen as white supremacy then that helped to make this happen.
