Small movable bands were the most common type of social organization; relatives and marriage were typically required to join a band. Common dome-shaped homes were occasionally fashioned of snow and other times of wood covered in dirt. Arctic societies also valued the use of dog sleds, fur attire, and rich folklore, mythology, and storytelling traditions.
