The dishonesty attitude is not only displayed by the practitioner or accountant but it is also preceded by a fraud committed by students in formal schooling.
- This unethical action occurs when accountants breach the professional code of ethics issued by the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI). The purpose of this study is to examine the links between attitudes toward academic dishonesty, attitudes toward unethical behavior, and attitudes regarding the likelihood of accounting fraud from the perspective of public accountants.
- The vignette was used to collect data from the IAPI community of registered public accountants. The sample includes 43 public accountants who attended the IAI XI Congress in Jakarta, as well as public accountants in Surabaya.
It was discovered that there is a significant association between views about academic dishonesty and unethical behavior and attitudes toward accounting fraud.
