In Science, all living organisms are broadly grouped into two (2) main categories according to cell type and these include the following;

  • Multicellular organisms

What is homeostasis?

Homeostasis can be defined as a biological and chemical process through which a living organism maintains a steady (stable) physical, internal and chemical environment that is ideal to enhance life, survival and proper functionality.

Generally speaking, single-celled organisms maintain homeostasis by utilizing their cell organelles such as cell membrane while multicellular organisms maintain homeostasis by utilizing their organs such as the kidney.
