Communication amongst members from two different societies is considered to as intercultural communication. People from other cultures construct shared meanings through the process of intercultural communication, which is symbolic, interpretative, transactional, and contextual. People from one culture attempt to understand the knowledge that people from other cultures have communicated to them through intercultural communication. For instance, in a hotel setting, the hoteliers determine the needs and preferences of their guests and cater to those needs. The needs of the guests are also communicated to the hoteliers.
