Respuesta :

When computers connect to each other to share information but are not dependent on each other to work, they are connected through a peer-to-peer network.

In Peer-to-peer networking, a group of computers is linked together with equal responsibilities and permissions for processing data. This is unlike traditional client-server networking and no devices in a P2P network are designated solely to serve or receive data. Each connected machine in this network has the same rights as its “peers” and can be used for the same purposes.

P2P software like Napster and Kazaa were once a standard find on the average home user’s computer. These programs allowed the users to swap large files over the internet. This included sharing music and movies. Rather than using centralized servers for this purpose, they used their worldwide user base’s computers as both client and server (ie. P2P), effectively by offloading processing loads onto their users.
