Hydrogen bonding is an important bond which occurs between two water molecules which make them sticky due to partial positive charge on hydrogen and partial negative charge on oxygen. Cohesion and adhesion occurs due to the attraction of partial positive and partial negative charges of hydrogen and oxygen atom. Density of water increases with the decrease in temperature and maximum at 4 degree Celsius and after further decrease in temperature, decrease in density occurs which is a unique property of water. water is a universal solvent because a large amount of solutes can be dissolved in it. Heat of vaporization refers to the amount of heat required to transform liquid into vapors.Water has a heat of vaporization about 40.65 kJ/mol.
