The New York Marathon returns to full capacity this year for the first time since 2019. 50,000 runners were allowed to participate a year ago because of the pandemic.
The New York City marathon was cancelled in 2020 because of the pandemic. It was downsized in 2021 due to the same reason. For the last two years, the New York City marathon was forced to cut its capacity due to the COVID-19 pandemic. But it was back this year with full energy and force.
There were around 50,000 runners who ran for the marathon. The distance to be covered was 26.2 miles. Around 47,839 people finished the marathon. There were many celebrities who took part in this marathon.
