A tropical cyclone includes three stages of development that are, formation development, full maturity, and modification.
In the first stage of formation development of the tropical cyclone, the water vapor and heat from the sea or oceans transfer to the overlying air. This process occurs due to evaporation from the ocean or sea surface. It also involves forming of cumulus clouds. Wind speed could be between 25 to 39 miles per hour.
In the second stage of full maturity, the warm air replaces the space behind the cold air moving in front. As the organization between warm and cold fronts increases, the cold front starts moving faster. It increases the wind velocity of the cyclone. Wind speed could exceed 74 miles per hour.
In the third stage of modification, the warm moist air abruptly cuts off which affects the central pressure and warmth inside the cyclone. It eventually weakens the cyclone. This stage occurs after the cyclone has a landfall or passes over cold waters. Wind speed could reach 23 miles per hour.
