A polar molecule is one that has one end that is slightly positive and the other end that is slightly negative. A polar molecule is a diatomic molecule with a polar covalent bond.
Non-polar molecules are ones that do not have charges at the end because electrons are finely distributed and symmetrically cancel out each other.
NH3- because one end has a positive charge and the other has a negative charge. NH3 is polar.
CHCl3- Because of its tetrahedral molecular shape and the difference in electronegativity of C, H, and CL, CHCl3 is polar.
BH3 - a nonpolar molecule. Because of the symmetry of the molecule, the dipole moments of each of the B-H bonds cancel out.
C2H2 - because the electronegativity difference between Carbon and Hydrogen is less than the minimum required.
