Which macromolecule is used by most living things to transmit genetic information from one generation to the next? a. Nucleic acid • b. Carbohydrate • c. Protein • d. Lipid.

Respuesta :

Nucleic acid macromolecule is used by most living things to transmit genetic information from one generation to the next.

Nucleic acids are polymers that store, transfers and  helps to express genetic information. These information are encoded within the  sequences of monomers that forms nucleic acids. Two types of nucleic acids DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) and RNA (ribonucleic acid).

In general, DNA stores biological information in sequences of four bases of nucleic acid these are adenine (A), thymine (T), cytosine (C) and guanine (G) . These are strung together along ribbons of sugar- phosphate molecules in the shape of a double helix.
