Christine Anne McVie was a singer, composer, and musician from England.
She was most recognized for her work with the band Fleetwood Mac as a vocalist and pianist. In the British Blues scene of the middle of the 1960s, McVie played in a number of bands, most notably Chicken Shack. Christine McVie collaborated with Fleetwood Mac to write and record fifteen songs during their transitioning phase. In response to her bandmates' drug use, McVie left the group in 1984, telling the Guardian that she was "simply sick of it."
Nicks, meantime, was developing a cocaine addiction. Christine McVie (third from left) left Fleetwood Mac after the group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1998.
