  • Keep calm
  • Turn on the hazard lights

What NOT to do after a collision

DO NOT:

  • Attempt to move any injured person; wait for medical personnel to arrive to prevent further injury or injury
  • Leave the scene of the accident; this is a crime
  • Discuss liability
  • Sign any documents other than the police report
  • Accept an offer to pay from the other driver instead of going through the appropriate insurance procedures. If you are not at fault, your driving record will not be expunged, and you will not have to pay the deductible during the repair process.
