Rho-Gam is given to Rh negative mothers who have given birth to an Rh positive fetus, whether or not the fetus is born alive. Nurse must go to blood bank to get Rho-Gam with a copy of the patient sticker to specifically keep the blood separately. Rho-Gam is helpful in preventing isoimmunization because it can be dangerous for the life of the baby.
