In my opinion, transportation was the one that most affected World War 1. Transportation was normally walking, which wasn't a very effective way to get anywhere quickly, so horses with carts were used to improve the quickness and to move more weapons quickly and for other things. Soon, Railways were to become much more effective to support the army in the field to bring more artillery. I think transportation was very important in order to keep the soldiers with weapons which is important and food water and medical support. And in later steam engine trucks would be used to move soldiers to the field or to take those in need of medical help.
