Ok, so for me, (I'm sorry if this isn't the way that you were taught it), I just plugged in numbers for n. 3 + 1 is not 1/2 of 10 + 1 3 + 2 is not 1/2 of 10 + 2 3 + 3 is not 1/2 of 10 + 3 BUT 3 + 4 IS 1/2 of 10 + 4 (7 and 14)
