PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 50 POINTS !!! AND BRAINLIEST FOR THE CORRECT ANSWER!!!!

How do you feel about the Three-Fifths Compromise? Was it a wise decision by the framers of the constitution to keep the nation united, or was it an unacceptable compromise even at the cost of the nation breaking up over the issue of slavery (as happened later during the Civil War (1861–1865)?

Respuesta :

I think that is was a good decision at the time. But I think that the issue of slavery was so Powerful that no matter what way they addressed the issue of slavery it would create anger and animosity between the north and the south. The south loved having slaves because they didn't want to have to work their huge plantation themselves while the north was against it because for 1 it was wrong and 2 it would cause the south to have greater power in the senate and HoR.
It a wise decision by the framers of the constitution to keep the nation united, because Slavery wasn't a big deal to most people back in the 1800s not a lot of people wanted to stop it so the people who spoke up and tried to "help" contributed to slavery not being a thing today.
