the domain is the x values and the range is the f(x) or y values.
f(x) = 3x^3.......when the domain (x) = 2
f(2) = 3(2^3)
f(2) = 3(8)
f(2) = 24
f(x) = 3x^3....when the domain (x) = 5
f(5) = 3(5^3)
f(5) = 3(125)
f(5) = 375
so the range, when the domain is {2,5} , is {24,375}
