Although most steps that athletes take to improve their performance are healthy ones, there are things that athletes do improve their performance that are unhealthy. What unhealthy things do some athletes do to improve their performance? Why do you think some athletes take these harmful steps?

Taking steroids- They want to be bigger and better
Exercising too much- They don't give their body time to recooperate from the damage exercising does (ripping muscles)
Some athletes like myself have to eat foods in order to improve their performance. For example, Defensive Ends in football, they eat food to build up mass to be able to block Offensive Tackles.They take these risks to make themselves better.
