Yes. Some students might not have actually been cheating an just deep in thought, but everyone should be given a second chance in everything. Brainiest please. I need it bad.
It's up to the teacher, really. Some students don't care and will, in effect, tell the teacher to "suck it". If the students do this, then I could see how the teacher would be justified in not allowing the student to redo/make-up a test.
On the flip side, if the student was truly feeling bad or sorrowfully and apologized, being sure to not do it again, then the teacher, I think, should allow the student to redo the assignment.
Or, the teacher could just be following school rules and policies (allowing for make-up work or not allowing for make-up work) and therefore would be correct in their actions, no matter what the student did in the circumstance.
