An ecosystem with no interactions would have very few organisms in it. This is because in order for organisms or living species to survive, they need to interact with other species. An ecosystem with no activity would have practically almost no life.
An ecosystem with no interaction would result to a decrease in biomass and productivity of the ecosystem.
Effects of interaction on ecosystem
Ecosystem system is a geographic area that is made up of producers ( plants), consumers (animals) and decomposers.
These various components interact with each other to better adapt and reproduce in its habitat.
The interactions affect the size of species populations and thus the biomass and productivity of an ecosystem.
The biomass is the mass of the weighing tissue and the productivity which is their ability to reproduce.
Therefore, an ecosystem with no interaction would result to a decrease in biomass and productivity of the ecosystem.
