Physical properties are properties that do not interfere/relate to how a substace changes during a REACTION. Chemical reactions form things such as gas and odor, things that cannot be caused by simply altering it with your hands.

Therefore, some physical properties can be...

The shape of an object, for example the composition of hydrochloric acid cannot be changed by pouring it into the same exact beaker that is a different size with the same conditions.

Also, properties such as freezing, melting, boiling, and vaporizing. Although the STATE of a substance, for example water, is changing, in the end it is still water. Water being frozen into ice is still water, and water boiling is still, well, water.

Whenever you are stuck on chemical vs physical, always ask yourself: "If this happens, is it still this exact same substance? Or does it change."

Hope I could be of help and have a great night!
