Ratios can be presented in three different forms: A/B, A:B, A to B. 
When finding ratios, you need to follow the directions to a "T". 

In this story problem it is asking you to find the ratio of Hours worked on Monday, TO, Total hours worked in the span of one week. (It's important to notice it has thrown in the wage she earns to try and throw you off, simply ignore this fact given.)
