A high school has 438 students, with about the same number of males as females.Describe a simulation to predict how many of the first 50 students who leave the school at the end of the day are female.

Respuesta :

Males=females
438 divide by 2 equals 219
50 divided by 2 equals 25
Answer: 25 females

Total number of students in the high school = 438

As its given, the number of males and females are almost same, so the number of males students are = [tex]\frac{438}{2}= 219[/tex]

Its asked if the first 50 students leave the school. then how many are females,  so it can be given as = [tex]\frac{50}{2}=25[/tex]

So, the chances of the students being females are [tex]\frac{25}{50}[/tex] or [tex]\frac{1}{2}[/tex].

Hence, 25 females can leave the school out of 50 students.
