Their main role was to spread Jesus’s teachings
The twelve disciples of Jesus were the Jews, and the men of faith who abandoned everything in their lives to become his closest followers. The men were selected to spread the gospel message of Jesus to all nations. The twelve disciples were trained to be leaders by Jesus for three years, and they include; Peter, Matthew, James, John, Andrew, Philip, Simon, Bartholomew, James (the younger), Judas, Jude, and Thomas.
