The Fourteen Points was a proposal of principles for peace that was going to be used to guide peace negotiations after World War I. The principles were proposed by President Woodrow Wilson. However, they were considered too idealistic.
One thing that the Fourteen Points proposed was free trade. Free trade was an anomaly after WWI, but has been adopted by many countries nowadays. It is also one of the guiding principles of trade within the European Union. Therefore, it is likely that if the Fourteen Points had been adopted after WWI, European integration in a system similar to the EU would have come much earlier than it did.
