Lenin cautioned that Russia’s path to socialism should not be mechanically applied to other countries. Each country had to find its own way, based on its particular situation.
Lenin struggled against the view, common among some revolutionaries, that Marxism was a precise plan for socialism.

Lenin wanted a revolution against the provisional government in Russia and he planned to apply Marxism to Russia by using a very sophisticated and elite Socialist party which was in control and could lead a revolution. There were many arguments he presented for his decision, and the principal was that poor people and their economic struggle could lead them up to syndicalist reformist ideas. due to this, he wanted to get to these people first by introducing his ideas of Marxism and a Marxist revolutionary consciousness from the outside.
Unfortunately, Lenin´s ruling was very violent and mainly characterized by the secret police abusive power, and terror tactics against its own citizens, as well as total control and autocratic rule.
This period is considered by many historians to be a very dark time for all soviets citizens.
