Respuesta :

The bishop has more responsibilities. Becoming a bishop is the third and fullest level of the Sacrament of Holy Orders. Bishops also must make a visit to the Holy Father every five years and give a report on his particular diocese. To become a priest is the second level ( Before and on a lower level than a Bishop )

The responsibilities of a priest and a bishop in the early Christian church can be compared as follows:

  • The bishops succeeded the apostles and had the full faculty as priests and deacons to spread the gospel, build up Christina communities, and confirm the faith of their brethren.

  • On the other hand, priests serve the bishops and hold their appointments at their discretion.

  • Priests are ordained to help the bishops in teaching the gospel, baptizing, administering the sacraments, visiting the members, and engaging in missionary works.
