One day, a beautiful princess walked down to the riverbank to seek some solitude away from the chaos of palace life. Unlike her sisters who loved the court lifestyle of constant talk of dresses, parties, and who they would marry, Alexia preferred to read and study nature. She was engrossed in her book when a noise caught her attention. She raised her head to see a man standing in the river; however, the current was so fast no one should be able to keep their footing. "Hello, Alexia. My name is Damien. I am a water spirit. I know what you want, freedom. Come with me, and I can show you the world, anywhere there is water." Alexia thought for only a moment about her lonely life in the palace and then about an adventure with the handsome spirit who could give her everything she ever wanted. She dove in, and they swam away.
