Eli Whitney was an American inventor and manufacturer. Traditionally it is said that at thirteen he invented the apple peeler but he did not patent it, what is certain is that he invented the machine to peel the cotton in 1793. This machine is a mechanical unit that it separated the seeds of the cotton, which until then was a very heavy work, by the scarce human participation.

Jethro Tull was an English agronomist, inventor of an original animal-drawn seeding machine, a prototype of the «gentleman farmer», considered one of the pioneers of the Industrial Revolution and one of the promoters of the agrarian revolution.

James Wyatt was an engineer and mechanical inventor born in Greenock, Scotland on January 19, 1736. In 1764 he received a Newcomen machine in the shop. When repairing it, he noticed the loss in performance due to the amount of steam he wasted and looked for ways to avoid the continuous heating and cooling of the piston cylinder. The solution was a separate condenser. In this way the constant loss of energy was avoided, and the consumption of coal was reduced to one third. It was the first and most important of Watt's inventions.
