What is the difference between a society known for its heterodoxy and a society known for its orthodoxy?

Respuesta :

Orthodoxy - a belief or orientation agreeing with conventional standards
Heterodoxy - a belief or orientation agreeing with unconventional standards

Orthodoxy means having, believing in and adhering to conventional standards.

Heterodoxy means having, believing in and adhering to unconventional standards. Heterodoxy would also be referred to as unorthodox.

A society know for it's orthodoxy would be a society that adheres to established norms and heterodoxy would go against what is considered to be established norms.
