Why did the journalists cover up Roosevelt’s disease? a. They were afraid of being persecuted under the Sedition Act. c. They wanted him to seem strong in case he became president. b. The answer is b. They felt that his personal life was not the business of the public.  Many reporters back then where respectful of other people's privacy. (unlike today). 
The answer is B  because he didn't want to public to know and he wanted to deal with his own problems .
