Tyler has a rectangular garden that measures 10 m wide by 13 m long. He wants to increase the area to 208 m² by increasing the weight and length about the same amount. What will be the length (longer dimension) of the new garden?

In order to find the Area of a rectangle you need to just multiply the length by the width. Don't be confused due to the squared symbol.

For the original garden the area was 130m^2

For the new rectangle we will need to work backwards, so therefore, when the rectangles area is 208m^2, sides will have to be both 8 and 26
