A student ordered 36 cupcakes for a party. during the party 1/4 of the cupcakes were eaten/ after the party 1/3 of the left over cup cakes were eaten. how many cupcakes were left

It says 1/4 so you divide 36 by 9

36÷4=9

Then it says 1/3 so you divide 9 by 3

9÷3=3

So the answer is 3 cupcakes
