Here, This poem "Hum Panchi Unmukt Gagan ke" is based on the birds, who wants their Independence. Poet wants to let everyone know the real meaning of Independence, through the birds. According to Him, Nothing is more valuable than the Independence. According to one of His famous line in the poem, He says: Even Gold Cage means nothing for Birds as compared to their Complete Independence. Birds want to fly in the Open air, at the Heights, with their friends, they want to play on the Bark of Tree, they don't want to spend their life in a Cage, no matter how valuable is it, for us.
Hope this helps!

hum panchi unmukt gagan ke which roughly translates to "Birds of the loose sky" is written by ShivMangal Singh Suma. It describes how birds in captivity long for freedom of the open sky. No matter how nice the surrounding and how comfortable living in a cage may be, there is no comparison to a free life in the nature. From the beginning "Caged, they cannot sing" to the liberation at the end " if these wings I am to have, do not distress these frantic flights", the poem praises the virtue of a free life.
