If you swallow gum, you may have heard that it will take 7 years to digest. Well, that is just a myth! Gum may be hard for your body to digest, but the gum just moves through your digestive tract as a whole and you - you know - poop it out.

It will pass out through your body like anything else, but shouldn't be eaten on a normal basis because of its thicker consistency.
