Respuesta :

(4u³+4u²+2)+(6u³-2u+8)
so first u open the brackets.
which gives you
4u³+4u²+2+6u³-2u+8
*if there is a negative in front of a bracket, all the signs inside the brackets will be opposite due to distributive property.
for example: -(4u³+4u²+2)-(6u³-2u+8)
since it is the same as: -1(4u³+4u²+2)-1(6u³-2u+8)
it will give you = -4u³-4u²-2-6u³+2u-8 if you distribute and multiply -1 to all the numbers in the brackets.
then put together like terms. like terms are as shown in the pic. same no. of variables with same power no matter the coefficients.
and put the highest power variables first and in numbers at the last its easier.
which gives you.
4u³+6u³+4u²-2u+2+8
then add!!!
10u³+4u²-2u+10
*when you are adding two variables you only add the coefficients. if the variable doesn't show one like v. the coefficient is always 1 by default.
so your answer is D.
