Alexa = 3 (how many chapters shes read)

Rose = 3 (how many chapters shes read)
_ (fraction split)

6 (divided equal chapters)

Rose has read half of her book and alexa hasn't therefore rose has read more.
Alexa 3/8 rose 6/8 red Alexa reads more pages because her chapters are most likely much longer
